Pictures of damage to our house. Remember, we "got off easy". On the street behind us, every house had at least one window break.

My Result: Scottish Terrier
No bones about it, you're an adventurous Scottish Terrier. Fearless, feisty, and always up for a challenge, you like having things your way. Some people might even label you stubborn or headstrong. But we know you're just ambitious and motivated. (Being misinterpreted is such a trial, isn't it?) Besides, your can-do attitude serves you well when facing challenges at work or in your personal life. No job is too big, and absolutely no obstacle is going to stand in your way. You're always ready, willing, and able to rise to the challenge. A loyal, caring friend, you choose your pals very carefully, then stick by them through thick and thin. Woof!

This site lists other sites that are compliant. But the second page I visited on one of the "Editor's Choice" sites didn't validate. The listing site didn't even pass the XHTML test on this page. That's why I think pretending to be standards compliant a joke. Although I give credit to Jens Meiert because all the pages I tested passed.

I used to be all for standards compliance and added links like this to my site, but then you come back a month later and your site is no longer valid. So I stopped doing it.
So this amused me: Plogger states on the bottom of their home page "Plogger produces fully validated XHTML 1.1 code", but it's not.
Not a good way to promote your product!Hmm... I wonder if there's a site that lists sites like this, just to make fun of them.

According to Christi's mirror, you never fail until you give up. Well, I give up.
On a plus note, I've gone to the fitness center at work the last two days! It kind of feels like I get out of working 8 hours a day. (Really I don't, but it feels that way.) Add swimming laps at the Y, which I enjoy doing, and I've exercised 3 out of the last 4 days! But I've realized that I need goggles and new shoes. Suggestions on the kind of shoe I should get? Walking/running/cross-training -- I'm leaning toward walking. Brand? I don't think it matters much. Where should I shop at?
And a thanks to Jeff for his words of wisdom.

Yesterday, my mom gave me an old trail my grandfather made for me. As I was staring at it my mom said, “What? You don’t want it?” Oh, exactly the opposite. I love it. Christi suggested I put up a shelf in the den/office. And I can use the shelf he made me!

This post is being entered on Friday but it says posted yesterday! Time travel!
Again, I failed. Yesterday I ate more sweets. Today, I had a Dr. Pepper on my way to work. It did not taste good. It tasted like failure. So, I'm going to keep trying this. I'll chalk up the last 3 days to misstep and try again.
